I was born in Amersfoort, but I lived 12 years in Surinam (South America, north of Brasil). When I was 14, my parents came back to Holland where I finished highschool.
After highschool I studied aircraft engineering for four years and then I started to work at Fokker Aircraft where I worked for eleven years. Last January DASA changed its mind about its investments in the aircraft industry and dropped Fokker. Two months later Fokker went bankrupt and I lost my job (together with 5000 colleagues).

I was lucky because a found a new job very fast and at the moment I am working as a FORTRAN analyst/programmer.
